Howard Payne Women's Tennis Edges Eagles

Clarksville, Ark.-The Eagles were narrowly defeated 5-4 on Senior Day against conference opponent Howard Payne University on Friday.  

Howard Payne took two of the three doubles wins to start the day. The Eagles won at No 3. Kelsey Smith and Erika Jones won by default. In singles competition, Emily Saniseng defeated Zoe Sprayberry 7-6, 2-6, 7-0 at No. 3. At No. 5, Skylar Frazier won 6-3, 6-1 against Mikayla Hernandez. Smith won by default at No. 6.

Two Eagle seniors – Skylar Frazier and Lea Terrell – were honored prior to the match as a part of a Senior Celebration Ceremony.
 
The Eagles will travel to Siloam Springs for matches against St. Louis Pharmacy and John Brown University April 8.
