John Brown University Takes Win Over Eagles

Clarksville, Ark.-The University of the Ozarks women's tennis team hosted a Pink Out in front of a large crowd Thursday against in-state foe John Brown University.

John Brown University took a 9-0 win. The match wrapped up the Eagles fall schedule for the year.

In doubles play, Lin Xin Tan and Abigail Woodring defeated Kelsey Smith and Ja'Liyah Bradford 8-2 at the No. 1 position. Erin Kuykendall and Ellie Swan defeated Jessica Gayle and Erika Jones 8-3. Caroline Hillock and Kyla Issac defeated Gabrielle Davis and Journey Pope 8-1.

In singles play, Lin Xin Tan defeated Smith 6-1, 6-2 at the No. 1 spot. Abigail Woodring took a 6-2, 7-5 win over Bradford. Erin Kuykendall defeated Gayle 6-3, 6-1. Caroline Hillock won 6-3, 7-5 over Emily Saniseng. Ellie Swan defeated Jones  6-1, 6-0 and Ana Moreno defeated Pope 6-2, 6-1.
