Clarksville, Ark.-University of the Ozarks freshman track runner Chloe Weathers was named the American Southwest Conference Track Athlete of the Week, the conference office announced Tuesday (March 14).

Weathers, from Clarksville, Ark., set a new program record in the 5000-meter in her first meet for Ozarks. Weathers ran a 18:40.68 at the Hendrix College Alumni Open on Saturday in Conway. The previous school record was set in 2018. Weathers finished fifth among 31 runners in the Eagles' first outdoor competition of the spring season.

The Eagles will compete in the UCA Richard Martin, Jr. Invitational March 17-18.
