History Made, First Ever Women's Wrestling Match At Ozarks

The women's wrestling team competed in its first ever wrestling match Monday night.

ON THE MAT
Clarksville, Ark.-The University of the Ozarks women's wrestling team made history by competing in the school's first ever wrestling match Monday afternoon. The Eagles hosted NAIA Lyon College in front of a large fan base. The seasoned Lyon College team took an exhibition win (23-0) over the much younger Eagles, but Head Coach LeRoy Gardner believes the experience will make the team better in the long run. The Eagle wrestlers included Kylie Davis, Emily Monk, Reed Evans, Michelle Gonzalez and Diriann Porras. Davis was the first wrestler to fight on the mat in the historic moment for Ozarks.
