Women's Wresting Team To Compete In Regional Championships

The women's wrestling team will compete in its first Regional Championship.

Clarksville, Ark. – The women's wrestling team will compete in the NCWWC Regional Championships on Sunday in Grand Junction, Colorado. 

Hosted by Colorado Mesa University, a total of nine teams makes up the NCWWC Region V Tournament with schools all the way from the Great White North of British Colombia, Canada. Currently, Colorado Mesa, Chadron State, and Texas Women's have the maximum amount of 15 wrestlers registered for the tournament. Simon Fraser and Schreiner are above the threshold of 10 wrestlers in the tournament. This is the first year that Texas Woman's, Linfield, and Minot State will compete in a regional tournament.

The top-4 individuals in each weight class automaticially qualify for the National Championships March 4-5 in Cedar Rapids, Iowa.
