Clarksville, Ark.-The University of the Ozarks and Arvest Bank will host FanFest on Saturday, April 23 from 10:00 a.m. until 3:00 p.m. at the Hurie Athletic Complex.
The free family friendly event is open to the general public and includes a complimentary lunch. There will be games, prizes, a bounce house, music and snacks throughout the day. The softball game is set for an 11:00 a.m. start, and the baseball game will follow at 12:00 p.m. Admission to the games are free and fans will be able to meet players following the games.
"This community-themed event will be a lot of fun," said U of O Athletic Director Jimmy Clark. "There will be a number of family-oriented activities that day. We had a similar event to this one in the fall that was a huge success. We hope the community will bring out their families and enjoy the food, games for kids and our softball and baseball games. Arvest Bank has been a big facilitator behind this event and we appreciate their willingness to be involved. We have forged a strong relationship with them."
Additionally, the Ozark Rape Crisis Center and the U of O Student-Athlete Advisory Committee will sponsor a "Walk A Mile In Her Shoes" campaign at 10:00 a.m.
