Clarksville, Ark.-University of the Ozarks sophomore right-handed pitcher Gyeongju Kim was named the American Southwest Conference Pitcher of the Week, the conference announced Monday (April 30).

Kim, a native of Seoul, South Korea, pitched a gem in game one against Belhaven to receive a win and push Ozarks to its best regular season record since 2008. Kim tossed 5.1 innings and did not allow an earned run while striking out four. Kim issued just one walk en route to helping Ozarks secure the No. 5 seed in the ASC Championship.
    
Kim owns a 2.59 ERA and has struck out 52 in 62.2 innings of work.

Ozarks will take on UT-Tyler in the Championship Tournament May 4.
