GAME ONE
Overview:
A big first inning propelled the Eagles past Sul Ross State University 9-1 Friday afternoon. The Eagles pounded out 14 hits and five players had multi-hit games. Luke Morrison highlighted the first inning with a two-run triple. James Cross had an RBI single in the frame and then the Eagles scored on an error to make it 4-0. In the third, Cross and Josh Stephens had RBI to increase the lead to 6-1. In the fourth, Erick Aguirre blasted a two-run homer and in the sixth Cross produced again with a RBI single. Blake Benson cruised to a complete game with three strikeouts. He had one walk and the Lobo run was earned. Cross went 3-for-4 with three RBI, Rennie Arjona went 3-for-5 with three runs, Aguirre went 2-for-4 with two RBI, Morrison went 3-for-4 with two RBI and Trey Vance went 2-for-2.

GAME TWO
Overview:
A five-run first inning by the Eagles led to a 13-3 win in game two. Luke Morrison, James Cross, Tyler Arco and Frank Yackovich all had RBI in the first inning. With the Eagles leading 6-0, Sul Ross finally scored a run in the fourth. But the Eagles answered with two runs in the fifth. The Eagles had another five-run inning in the eighth to put the game away. Erick Aguirre and Morrison had two-run singles and Josh Stephens added an RBI single. Dylan Kuester scattered six hits over six innings to receive the win. Kuester fanned six and walked only one. Four Eagles had multiple-hit games. Alex Ray went 2-for-4, Morrison went 3-for-4 with four RBI, Cross went 2-for-6 with an RBI and Tyler Arco went 2-for-6 with an RBI.
