GAME ONE
Overview:
The Eagles scored the game-winning run on an infield error to take game one against Howard Payne University 5-4 Friday. With the score tied 4-4 in the bottom of the seventh, the Eagles mounted a rally with Rey Lozano singling to right field. Alex Ray then reached first base on a fielder's choice as Lozano got out at second. Luke Morrison followed with a walk, advancing Ray into scoring position. Brooks Boshers pinch ran for Ray. With one out, James Cross ripped a hard grounder to the first baseman, who was unable to field it allowing Broshers to cross home plate with ease. Howard Payne held a 4-1 lead heading into the bottom of the third before the Eagles scored twice. Morrison drove in a run with a single. The other score came on a bases loaded double play ball that allowed Rennie Arjona to score. The Eagles got the game-tying run in the sixth when Arjona recorded a sacrifice fly. Blake Benson went five innings as the starter. Zachary Brizendine threw the final two innings to receive the win. The duo combined for seven strikeouts. Lozano and Trey Vance had two hits.

GAME TWO
Overview:
Dylan Kuester threw a gem to lead the Eagles to a 9-0 game two win. The right-handed Kuester was dominate with a two-hit complete game shutout. Kuester fanned 11 and walked only one in his outing. Kuester faced 32 batters and allowed just one hit through 8.2 innings. He retired the side in the second, third, fifth, sixth and eighth innings. The senior ran into a bit of trouble in the seventh as he hit a batter and then issued a walk. But Kuester quickly put out the fire with three straight strike outs. Meanwhile, the Eagles offense gave Kuester five runs to work with after two innings. The Eagles scored five runs on three hits in the fifth frame, generated from RBI by Vance, Josh Stephens, Arjona and Aguirre. Tyler Arco had an RBI single in the third and Vance had a bases loaded walk in the sixth to make it 7-0. In the seventh, as Kuester cruised in the game, the Eagles added two more runs behind RBI from Lozano and Ray. Aguirre had three hits and Ray finished with two.
