Overview:
Louisiana College had a clutch two-out hit in the top of the ninth to tie the game and then blasted a three-run homer in the tenth to hand the Eagles a disappointing 7-4 loss in game three Sunday. The Eagles pitching staff, consisting of Rodny Valdes, Connor Rowe and Kris Sloan, held the Wildcats to two hits through 8.2 innings, before a trio of timely hits late in the game. The Wildcats led 2-1 until the fourth when Carlos Castillo and Ben Cross had RBI singles. The Eagles went ahead 4-2 in the sixth on a Wildcat error. Louisiana College plated a run in the seventh to make it 4-3. In the ninth with two outs, Louisiana College inserted pinch hitter Jacob Fowler and he delivered a timely single. Brodie Falgoust would later single in a pinch runner from second base to even the score 4-4. With one out in the tenth, Austin Willey blasted a three-run homer to deflate and stun the Eagles. The Eagles did lead off the bottom of the tenth with a single, but couldn't bring him home. Sloan took the loss for the Eagles. Rennie Arjona and Ben Cross each had three hits.
