Eagles End Season In ASC Tournament

Rey Lozano and the Eagles were eliminated from the ASC Tournament Friday night.

GAME ONE

Overview:
The Eagles let a 3-1 lead slip away in the fifth inning as East Texas Baptist came back to pick up a 10-3 win. The Eagles scored one in the first on an RBI double from Rey Lozano and then added two more in the third. Lozano ripped a single to center field to score two. But the Tigers battled back and scored four times on five hits in the bottom of the fifth. The Eagles wouldn't score again as the Tigers had all the momentum. The Tigers ended the game with 15 hits. Lozano went a perfect 4-for-4. Dylan Kuester took the loss after tossing 5.1 innings.

GAME TWO
Overview:
A late inning rally came up short as the Eagles were eliminated from the ASC Tournament with a 11-10 setback against Louisiana College. The Eagles end the season with a 16-17 record. The Eagles scored first, but it didn't take the Wildcats long to answer. Louisiana College plated three runs in the bottom half of the first. But the Eagles answered with three runs on three hits in the third. Ben Cross had an RBI single and then the Eagles scored two runs on a Wildcat error. In the fifth, the Eagles scored three more runs behind RBI from Luke Morrison, Trey Vance and Tyler Arco. The Wildcats gained some momentum in the sixth and took a 8-7 lead. The Wildcats pulled ahead 11-7 in the seventh. But the Eagles didn't go down easily and scored three runs in the eighth. Frank Yackovich had an RBI single and Ben Cross blasted a two-run homer to trim the deficit to 11-10. The Wildcats then struck out three straight batters in the ninth to secure the win. Cross finished a perfect 4-for-4 with three RBI. He also scored four runs.
