Competitive Cheerleading Team Continues Improvement At NCA Nationals

Daytona Beach, Fla.-The University of the Ozarks competitive cheerleading team wrapped up the 2016-2017 season with an outstanding finish, placing fourth at the National Cheerleading Association Nationals April 5-7 in Daytona Beach, Florida.

Under first-year head coach Frances Mills, the program bettered last season's finish of seventh place at Nationals. This year, Ozarks competed in the Intermediate All-Girl III division and topped Framingham State University, Salisbury University, Ocean County College and Curry College. Alma College won the event.

It was Ozarks second appearance at Nationals in the program's history. The program continues to gain momentum and is expected to compete at an even higher level next season under Mills.
