Clarksville, Ark.-The U of O men's basketball team rebounded from a tough loss Monday night to earn a dominating 89-55 victory over Barclay College Friday night.

The Eagles (1-1) took over the game late in the first half behind a 13-7 run in the final five minutes. Ozarks held a 41-29 halftime advantage, with Ted Beard IV and Josh Berard scoring 11 and 10 points, respectively. Ozarks then opened the second half with a 9-3 surge to hold a 50-32 lead around the 16-minute mark. Ozarks played relentless defense, forcing 27 turnovers, many of which were converted into easy baskets in transition. Berard hit a pair of free throws with 8:10 remaining to push the lead to 77-44. Ozarks shot much better from the field than it did Monday night. The Eagles hit 31-of-57 (54%) from the floor against Barclay.

Berard led Ozarks with 20 points, while Beard IV finished with 17 points. Josh Ferrell and Jace Richardson each contributed 13 points. Barclay falls to 1-4 overall.

Ozarks will host Champion Baptist November 22.
