Eagles Pick Up Big Win Over LeTourneau

Clarksville, Ark.-Ted Beard IV and Jace Richardson each posted double-doubles, but it was Kelby Robinson that led the Eagles with 25 points in a big 81-64 win over LeTourneau University Saturday in American Southwest Conference action.
    
Ozarks (7-12, 4-11 ASC) dominated the game from the outset, starting off with a 7-0 run. The Eagles would hit five three-pointers in the first half, including an opening long-distance shot from Josh Berard to jumpstart the run. Beard IV was dominant on the boards in the first half, pulling down nine on his own. Robinson would hit back-to-back three-pointers late in the first half to give Ozarks a 34-18 advantage. Robinson ended the final five minutes of the first half with nine points.
    
Another Robinson shot put Ozarks in front 49-25 within the first three minutes of the second half. The Eagles didn't let up as their lead ballooned to 56-29 at the 13:49 mark.
    
Robinson hit three three-pointers and had nine rebounds to go along with a team-high 25 points. Beard IV ended the contest with 14 rebounds and 10 points, while Richardson had 10 assists and 12 points. Josh Berard added 18 points.
    
LeTourneau falls to 5-14 overall and 3-11 in the ASC.

The Eagles will host a non-conference game against Champion Baptist February 2 at 7:00 pm. Ozarks will travel to Brownwood, Texas, to face Howard Payne University February 5 and then to Alpine, Texas, to face Sul Ross State February 7.
