Sul Ross Men Slow Down Eagles

Alpine, Texas-The Sul Ross State men's basketball team limited the high-scoring Eagles to 64 points in Saturday's 99-64 American Southwest Conference match-up.

The Eagles (4-4, 1-4 ASC) hit only 21-of-62 (33%) from the floor, while Sul Ross State (5-5, 3-1 ASC) made 50 percent of its shots. Sul Ross State held a 49-24 halftime lead and never let Ozarks back into the game. The Lobos held a 70-42 advantage with 10:21 remaining in the contest. The Sul Ross State bench scored 47 points in the win.

Jace Richardson scored 20 points to lead Ozarks. Dylan Gray posted a double-double with 13 points and 12 rebounds.

Ozarks will travel to Houston to play in the St. Thomas Classic December 31.
