Clarksville, Ark.-McMurry University outscored the University of the Ozarks men's basketball team 61-58 in the second half and overcame 40 points from Josh Berard to secure a 109-104 American Southwest Conference win Saturday.

McMurry (7-7, 4-3 ASC) held a narrow 48-46 halftime lead in a back-and-forth first half. In the second half, McMurry owned a 28-11 rebound advantage to keep the Eagles (5-7, 1-6 ASC) from winning. Ozarks outscored the War Hawks 33-27 in the final ten minutes of play, but McMurry went 6-for-6 from the free throw line with less than 30 seconds remaining to fight off an Eagle comeback.
    
Berard scored 20 points in each half, and finished the night hitting 14-of-23 from the field. He was a perfect 11-of-11 from the free throw line. Dylan Gray added 24 points and made four three-pointers and Jace Richardson scored 22 points.

Ozarks will host Baptist Bible January 9 and then travel to Longview, Texas, to face LeTourneau University January 12.
