Louisiana College Pulls Out 110-106 Win In Men’s Basketball Action

Clarksville, Ark.- Louisiana College got 27 points from Raheem Regis and 23 points from Taylan Grogan to power its way to a 110-106 win over the Eagles Thursday night in American Southwest Conference action.

Sensational shooting by both teams highlighted the high-scoring affair. Ozarks (6-10, 1-9 ASC) hit 38-of-61 (62%) from the floor, while Louisiana College (4-10, 1-7 ASC) made 34-of-59 (57%). The two teams combined to hit 27 three-pointers. The Wildcats nailed 12-of-23 (52%) and the Eagles canned 15-of-28 (53%). Louisiana College held a 55-50 halftime lead and would build a 97-87 advantage with 2:32 remaining in the game. But Ozarks closed it to three points with 30 seconds left on Jerome Luster's shot from long-range. The Eagles would have a possession with less than 20 seconds remaining, but turned the ball over. The Wildcats then hit six free throws down the stretch.

Josh Berard scored 30 points to lead Ozarks. Dylan Gray and Jace Richardson each contributed 19 points. Josh Ferrell hit five three-pointers in the game.

Ozarks will host East Texas Baptist University Saturday.
