Eagles Let First Half Lead Slip Away

Clarksville, Ark.-The University of the Ozarks men let a 50-43 halftime lead slip away as Belhaven University took a 96-90 win Saturday afternoon.

Ozarks (7-12) led by as many as ten points in the first half and shot 59 percent from the floor. Jace Richardson was a major part of the shooting success as he made 7-of-8 from the field to score 19 first half points. The Eagles hit 44 percent in the second half, while Belhaven (3-15) increased its percentage to 57 percent. Belhaven registered eight three-pointers in the second half to help its cause. The Blazers hit a shot from long-range at the 11:06 mark and never let go of the lead.
    
Richardson finished with 31 points and seven assists. Josh Berard had 29 points and Pete Barber added 12 points.

Ozarks will host Texas Dallas January 30.
