THE BASICS
In front of one of the loudest and largest crowds in recent Mabee Gym games, the Eagles pulled out a thrilling 68-67 win over Hendrix College to open the regular season behind a pair of clutch plays late in the contest. Leading by one point, Cory Wilhelm blocked the final Hendrix shot with less than four seconds remaining to secure the game for Ozarks. Prior to the block, Reno Dupor hit a pair of clutch free throws to put Ozarks up 68-67 at the nine second mark. Ozarks trailed 67-60 with three minutes left before storming back into the game. Dupor hit a key three-pointer with two minutes left to ignite the rally. Neither team would score over the next minute. Wilhelm sent the crowd into a frenzy when he completed a three-point play with 47 seconds remaining. The Eagles held the Warriors scoreless in the final three minutes of the game. Ozarks pulled down 45 rebounds in the game to hold a 45-34 advantage. Dylan Gray posted a double-double to open the season.
