The Basics:
Just when it seemed the Eagles were about to turn the corner, East Texas Baptist answered with a 11-3 run to end the game and take a 93-78 victory Thursday night. Ozarks fought back from a 42-27 halftime deficit to pull within 82-75 with 3:40 remaining in the game, but the Eagles would commit back-to-back turnovers on their next possessions. Meanwhile, the Tigers drilled a trio of three-pointers in the final three minutes to secure the game. The Eagles would match the Tigers in the second half, scoring 51 points. In the game, the Tigers hit 47 percent from the field, while Ozarks made 41 percent. The Tigers had four players reach double figures and outrebounded the Eagles 51-36. Tim Turpin led Ozarks with 15 points.
