Bryson Johnson hit a pair of clutch shots late in the game to secure a win for the Eagles.

THE BASICS
Bryson Johnson scored the final two baskets of the game to lift the Eagles past Louisiana College 72-70 Thursday. The Eagles trailed 70-68 with 1:27 left in the game, but Johnson made a layup with less than a minute to play to even the score 70-70. The Eagles got the ball back after a missed shot from Louisiana College and Johnson hit a clutch jump shot with less than ten seconds remaining to put the Eagles in front for good. Johnson came off the bench to score 20 points. The Eagles outshot the Wildcats 43 percent to 36 percent and held a 35-32 halftime lead. Cordy Winston hit a trio of three-pointers to score 17 points.
