Eagles Ends Season With Loss

THE BASICS
The Eagles closed out the season with a 84-69 loss against Hardin-Simmons University Saturday. Neither team led by more than six points in a first half that featured four ties and four lead changes. Ozarks led 36-35 at halftime. The Eagles went in front by one point at the 13:37 mark of the second half, but couldn't hold onto the lead. The Eagles did battle back and pull with six point with 4:04 remaining. However, the Eagles went cold over the next three minutes and the Cowboys scored nine straight points to secure the game. Bryson Johnson came off the bench to score 20 points. The Eagles three seniors – Kelvin Knight, Cory Wilhelm and Cordy Winston – were honored prior to the game as part of Senior Day. All three started the game.
