Kansas City, Mo.- The National Association of Basketball Coaches (NABC) announced the 2019-20 NABC Honors Court, recognizing more than 1,350 men's collegiate basketball student-athletes who excelled in academics during the past season. The NABC Honors Court highlights the talents and gifts that these men possess on the court and the hard work they exhibit in the classroom.

Senior forward Kelvin Knight (Physical Education), junior forward Darnel Renelique (Health Science) and senior center Cory Wilhelm (Biomedical) each received the honor from the NABC.

"These three men are shining examples of what a student-athlete embodies," said head coach Travis Carruthers. "Being on the NABC Honors Court is a great accomplishment and I am proud of how they set the bar for current and future Eagles. With only 14 members of the entire American Southwest Conference earning the honor, it shows how tough it really is. Hats off to them!"

In order to be named to the Honors Court, a student-athlete must meet a high standard of academic criteria, including a cumulative grade point average (GPA) of 3.2 or higher at the conclusion of the 2019-20 academic year. Additionally, student-athletes must have matriculated at least one year at their current institution and they must academically be a junior or senior and a varsity player.
