THE BASICS
The Eagles took NCAA II Arkansas Tech University to overtime only to have the Wonder Boys finish with a 64-59 win on New Year's Day. The game for the Eagles was an exhibition, while the game counted as Tech's regular season opener. The Eagles had the last possession in regulation with just over three seconds but couldn't capitalize. Tech tied the contest 57-57 with 1:05 remaining to push the game into overtime.
