THE BASICS
The Eagles moved into first place in the American Southwest Conference East Division with a dominating 101-78 win over Belhaven University Saturday. The Eagles are in a first-place tie with LeTourneau University at 4-2 in the league. Ozarks led the entire game and four of its five starters reached double figures in scoring. But it was Grayson Nix that came off the bench to score a team-high 22 points. Zach Byrd posted a double-double (18 points, 10 rebounds) for Ozarks. Bryson Johnson scored 19 points and hit four three-pointers. Seth Duke had 10 points. The Eagles shot an outstanding 53 percent from the field in the game and outrebounded the Blazers 42-28. The Eagles largest lead of the game came at the 18:24 mark of the second half when it reached 24 points.

Grayson Nix had his best game as an Eagles scoring 22 points on 5-of-10 shooting from the field. He went a perfect 9-of-9 from the free throw line. He also pulled down five rebounds and dished out five assists.
