THE BASICS
Clarksville, Ark.– The Eagles scored 16 points in the final five minutes of the game to surge past McMurry University 87-80 Tuesday night. The Eagles led 71-67 at the 5:23 mark of the second half, but built a 78-69 lead with less than two minutes left. Kyron Powell and Kamren Roelke paced the Eagles in the second half with 12 points apiece. The Eagles led 46-41 at halftime. The Eagles shot well all night hitting 54 percent from the field. The trio of starting guards for the Eagles combined for 59 points. Powell finished with 22 points, Roelke had 20 points and Grayson Nix added 17 points.
