Hemphill has coached at Ozarks since 2016.

"We thank Caleb for his tremendous influence on the program and our students," said athletic director Jimmy Clark. "He helped establish the program as one of the premier clay target teams in the country. There are championship expectations within this program and Caleb helped create that. Above all, he is an outstanding person. He will be missed."

The University offers trap, sporting clay, skeet, five stand, international and bunker shooting and has the only shooting sports team in the state that is funded through an NCAA athletic department.
