Clay Target Team Opens Season With Virtual Shoot

Jacksonville, Ark.-The women's and men's clay target team recently competed in the virtual ACUI Central Midwest Championships in Jacksonville to officially open the season.

The Eagles posted scores in the virtual competition October 18, October 24 and October 25. The ACUI will release scores of other teams that participated in the near future.

Overall, the Eagles finished third with 1879. The team won the American Trap competition and the Bunker competition. The Eagles had two teams in American Skeet, placing fifth and sixth overall. The Eagles were fourth in Doubles American Skeet and seccond in Doubles American Trap. Mason Malin had the third highest score overall with 381.

In American Skeet, Lane Klohn paced the team with a 96. Mason Malin followed with a 95, while Charles Priddy posted a 94. In American Trap, Malin, Priddy and Lane Ward all hit 100. In Doubles Skeet, John Wagner paced the team with 96. Jacob Tucker and Malin recorded a 91. In Doubles Trap, Malin shot a 95, while Klohn, Ward and Cameron Ziarko hit 92. In Bunker, Tucker hit 80, and Wagner scored 77. Keaton Little and Shon Hastings totaled 95. Taylor Holland placed second in women's bunker. Tucker tied for third in men's bunker. In men's Doubles American Skeet, Wagner placed fourth. The Eagles had two teams in Doubles American Trap, finishing second and fifth. Malin placed second in Doubles American Trap. 

The Eagles will next compete in the virtual ACUI Eastern Super Shoot November 12-15.
