Clay Target Team Wins ACUI Eastern Super Shoot

Jacksonville, Ark.-The women's and men's clay target team posted the top score in the virtual ACUI Eastern Super Shoot held November 6-8.

The Eagles posted scores over three days in the competition while other teams across the country competed at their respective facilities. The Eagles were champions with a score of 1877. Connors State was next with 1795. Individually, the Eagles had the top-3 HOA competitors. Mason Malin was the HOA champion with a score of 380. Charles Priddy followed with a score of 376 and Lane Klohn was third with 374. Six of the top-10 finishers were from Ozarks. On the women's side, Taylor Holland was the HOA with a score of 297.

The Eagles won the American Skeet competition with a score of 481. In the American Skeet competition, Keaton Little was first with 99. The Eagles then had the next three finishers: Lane Klohn (97), Jacob Tucker (96) and Mason Malin (96). Among the women's competitors, Taylor Holland was second (85) and McKenna Little was third (84). The Eagles won the American Trap competition with a score of 490. Malin paced the team and entire competition with a score of 100. Klohn and Tucker posted a 98. In double American Skeet, the Eagles won the event with a score of 445. John Wagner was the team's highest finisher at second-place. He scored 92. Holland won on the women's side with a 76. In double American Trap, the Eagles posted a score of 461 to win first place. Priddy and Mallin posted a 95 for the high scores. Klohn and McCaghren followed with scored of 92 and 91, respectively. 

The Eagles will next compete in the U of O Spring Shootout hosted in Clarksville. That date will also be Senior Day.
