Clay Target Team Wins National Title, Places Ninth Overall

University of the Ozarks won a national title at the ACUI Clay Target National Championships in Texas March 19-25. 

Clarksville, Ark.- A national title highlighted the University of the Ozarks trip to the ACUI Clay Target National Championships in Texas March 19-25. 
     
The program won its first team national title at the ACUI competition. The Eagles won the International Trap/Bunker (Division 2) national title behind an outstanding performance. The top three shooters included Jacob TuckerCorbin Cooper and Cameron Ziarko. The Eagles posted a score of 253 to win its first team national title. 
     
Overall, the Eagles placed ninth at the ACUI National Championships.
     
The men's HOA for the Eagles went to Mason Malin, who finished 70th overall, and hit 538. Lane Klohn had the second highest HOA for the team at 112th. Klohn hit 529. Charles Priddy followed to place 114th overall hitting 529.
     
In International Skeet, Keaton Little was the team's top finisher placing eighth with 76. Levi Prestidge was second for the Eagles placing 12th with 69.
     
Jacob Tucker paced the Eagles in International Trap with a fifth-place finish hitting 86. Corbin Cooper placed sixth with 85. The Eagles had three other shooters place in the top-11.
     
In American Skeet, Tucker was 12th in category four with 98. Klohn was 12th in category thrree with 97. Charles Priddy was 12th in category four with 97.
     
In American Trap, Klohn was first in category three with 100.. 
     
In Sporting Clays, Klohn was 11th in category three with 82. Malin was 17th in category four with 82.
     
In Super Sporting, Cameron Ziarko was 15th in category two with 90. 
     
In doubles American Skeet, Ziarko was 29th in category two with 92. Keaton Little was 19th in category four with 92.
     
In doubles American Trap, Priddy and Malin were tenth in category four with 90.
     
In combined American events, Klohn was the team's top finisher placing seventh overall with 197. In combined Trap events, Priddy led the team with a 34th-place finish at 191. In combined Skeet, Tucker was the top finisher to place 125th with 186. In combined International events, Little was the team's best at third overall with 152. In combined Clay events, Malin finished as the team's highest at 69th with 170. In All American, Klohn was 25th overall with 279. In combined doubles, Malin was 82nd with 181. 
     
In American Skeet, the Eagles placed ninth in the Division 2 category. In Super Sporting Clays, the Eagles placed tenth overall in Division 2. In Sporting Clays, the Eagles placed seventh overall in Division 2. In doubles American Skeet, the Eagles finished tenth in Division 2. In doubles American Trap, the Eagles were eighth. In All American, the Eagles placed eighth in Division 2. The Eagles were fourth in International Skeet.
     
The ACUI National Championships are the premier Clay Target competition for collegiate shooters in the United States.
