National Championship Ring Ceremony Planned For Clay Target Team

2022-23 Clay Target National Champions in International Bunker/Trap.

Clarksville, Ark.-The women's and men's clay target team will be honored Saturday, September 30, in a special championship ring ceremony for winning another national championship during the 2022-2023 season. 
     
The ceremony will take place at 8:30 a.m. at the River Valley Sportsman Club Shooting Range north of Clarksville. All fans are invited to attend. The U of O Homecoming Shoot will follow at 9:00 a.m.

Last October, the Eagles captured their second straight national title in International Bunker/Trap at the SCTP College Nationals in Ohio. The Eagles hit 305 targets topping rival Hillsdale College for the title, with Jacob Tucker leading the Eagles with 108 targets. Charles Priddy followed with 101 and Corbin Cooper hit 96. 

"Presenting national championship rings to the clay target team never gets old," said athletic director Jimmy Clark. "This program is simply one of the best in the country. Our program is known across the country for its success and championship caliber athletes and teams

Receiving championships rings are coaches Grace Brown and Lance Brown, along with athletes Corbin Cooper, Charles Priddy and Jacob Tucker. Receiving buckles as members of the team will be Corbin Cooper, Kinley Cox, Ethan Fleming, Trey Greeson, Lane Klohn, Karlee McCaghren, Wyatt McCaghren, Levi Prestidge, Charles Priddy, Ethan Spillers, Moudy Stolz, Jacob Tucker, Tyler Treadwell, Lane Ward, Coleman Wheeler and Cameron Ziarko.

The program has won a combined seven individual and team national titles since 2017.
