Eagles Place Second At Arkansas Competition

Lane Ward and the Eagles placed second at the Arkansas Collegiate Championship Shoot in Lonoke.

Clarksville, Ark.- The University of the Ozarks clay target team placed second at the Arkansas Collegiate Championship Shoot in Lonoke November 4. 

The Eagles had four squads at the competition, with squad 1 scoring 1189 for second place. That team consisted of Cameron Ziarko, Tyler Treadway, Trey Greeson, Daton Pinkston and Wyatt McCaghren. The team of UA-Cossatot and Southern Arkansas University pulled off the upset with a score of 1272 over the short-handed Eagles. Even short-handed, the Eagles still topped both of the Razorback teams by a large margin. The women's HOA was Kinley Cox with 217. The highest shooter for the Eagles on the men's side was Ayden Pollock with 260, which placed him second overall.

In individual 16's, Lane Ward was the top finisher with 98. In individual doubles, Pollock was third overall with 88. McCaghren was the top shooter in sporting clays with a score of 89.  Cox was the top finisher in the women's 16's with 84, doubles with 67 and sporting with 66. 

The Eagles will head to the Spring West Coast Championship in Las Vegas January 19-21.
