John Brown Men Net Game-Winner In 63rd Minute

Siloam Springs, Ark.-John Brown University scored the game-winning goal in the 63rd minute to secure a 2-1 win over the men's soccer team Monday night in Siloam Springs.

John Brown (1-3-0) took a 1-0 advantage in the 2nd minute when Marco Cardona scored. Ozarks totaled four shots in the first half, including a Matt Weaver shot that found the back of the net in the 23rd minute. Weaver's equalizer came on a pass from Bryce Young. The match remained 1-1 until John Brown's Douglas Oliveira scored the game-winner in the 63rd minute. Ozarks, which had seven corner kicks, finished with six shots.

Austin Benner recorded 10 saves in goal.

Ozarks will travel to Maryville, Tennessee, to face Maryville College September 17.
