Texas-Dallas Men Net Game-Winner In 74th Minute

Clarksville, Ark.-Playing on a rain-soaked field, Texas-Dallas pulled away from Ozarks for a 2-1 win Saturday in American Southwest Conference play.

Ozarks will host McMurry University in non-conference action Sunday at 12:00 p.m.

The Eagles (4-5-2, 1-1-1 ASC) took a 1-0 lead in the 19th minute when Shaun Keane scored after rebounding a shot in the box. It was Keane's second goal of the season. The Eagles were unable to hold the lead as Texas-Dallas (7-3-2, 2-1-0 ASC) scored in the 26th minute on a penalty kick. Texas-Dallas then used that momentum to eventually score in the second half. Chase Withrow would score the game-winner in the 74th minute, bouncing a shot off the post and into the back of the net. Ozarks' goalkeeper Austin Benner came up with seven saves in the second half as Texas-Dallas recorded eight shots in the final 45 minutes of play.

It was Ozarks fourth one-goal loss of the season.

Ozarks will travel to Pineville, La., for a conference match against Louisiana College October 17. Ozarks will then face East Texas Baptist University October 18 in Marshall, Texas.
