The Eagles (5-5-2) were on the attack early in the match, penetrating through the McMurry (4-6-0) defensive backline a number of times. Ozarks held a sizable corner kicks advantage (10-2) in the first half. One of those corner kicks resulted in a beautiful header from Keane in the 5th minute. Rondney Lo served up a ball into the box where Keane finished to give Ozarks a 1-0 lead. McMurry later countered with a goal in the 34th minute to even the match 1-1. But Keane was nearly unstoppable in the non-conference affair as he accounted for six shots on goal, including another score in the 35th minute to put Ozarks ahead 2-1.

"The boys were able to come out and respond after an emotional, tough loss against Texas-Dallas yesterday," said head coach Matt Torok. "The team was able to handle sloppy conditions as well as fight back each time McMurry evened the match.  We had good performances by numerous guys in terms of effort all over the field.  Travis Leach was his usual self, and Shaun was outstanding providing two goals."

McMurry answered again with an equalizer in the 52nd minute.  Matt Weaver then posted the game-winner with a header in the 57th minute. After applying more pressure on the War Hawks defense, Ozarks netted another goal in the 75th minute when Emilio Vega rebounded a shot off McMurry goalkeeper Ian McCarthy and sent it into the back of the net for the fourth score on the match.

"This was the best performance on the year in our attacking third and this should provide some confidence in our attacking ability down the stretch in conference play," he said. "I'm proud of a hard fought game where the team showed it can respond to some adversity."

Ozarks posted 15 shots and ended the match with 14 corner kicks. Keane had seven shots on his own.

Lo, Weaver, Vega and Thomas Mills each tallied one assist.

Ozarks goalkeeper Luis Mena had two saves and improved his record to 2-0-0.

Ozarks will travel to Pineville, La., to face Louisiana College October 17 and then head to Marshall, Texas, to face East Texas Baptist University October 18.
