Eagles Allow Three Goals In Friday’s Loss

Belton, Texas-The U of O men's soccer team suffered a 3-0 setback against American Southwest Conference opponent Mary Hardin-Baylor Friday afternoon in Belton, Texas.

The Eagles (8-7-2, 4-3-1 ASC) will face Concordia University Texas tomorow at 3:30 p.m. The match will decide seeding for the Eagles in the six-team conference tournament held next week.

Against Mary Hardin-Baylor (7-6-2, 4-2-2 ASC), the Eagles gave up a goal late in the first half to gain momentum. The Crusaders then scored in the 57th minute to put even more pressure on Ozarks. Mary Hardin-Baylor then secured the match with another goal in the 85th minute. The Eagles generated four shots on goal, all coming in the first half. Ozarks did record three corner kicks, two more than the Crusaders. Ozarks goalkeeper Austin Benner had eight saves.
