Mills Does It Again With Overtime Game-Winning Goal

Marshall, Texas-Senior Thomas Mills scored the game-winning goal for the second straight day to push Ozarks past East Texas Baptist University 3-2 in Saturday's overtime American Southwest Conference men's soccer match.

Mills, who scored the game-winner in the 99th minute Friday night, came back with another huge goal in the 99th minute against the Tigers. Mills struck first in the 21st minute on a penalty kick to give the Eagles (8-1-2, 2-1-1 ASC) a 1-0 advantage. Holding a 1-0- halftime lead, Ozarks built a 2-0 lead when Bryce Young scored in the 53rd minute. But ETBU (6-4-0, 1-2-0 ASC) responded with a pair of goals within an eight-minute span to even the match. With the match tied 2-2, Ozarks took control of overtime and applied pressure on the Tiger defense. The Eagles posted three shots in overtime, with none bigger than Mills' goal near the end of the first overtime. Luis Mena had a big first half in goal for Ozarks recording seven saves.
