Alex Ross Named ASC Soccer Offensive Player of the Week

Alex Ross was named ASC Player of the Week after scoring four goals in two matches.

Clarksville, Ark.-University of the Ozarks senior midfielder Alex Ross was named the American Southwest Conference (ASC) Men's Soccer Offensive Player of the Week, the conference office announced Monday.

Ross, a native of Heath, Texas, started the week with a hat trick in the Eagles' 7-0 non-conference win over Ecclesia on Tuesday. He followed with a game-winner in Saturday's 2-1 victory over Sul Ross State. Against Ecclesia, Ross scored once in the first half and then added two more goals in the second half to complete the hat trick. Against Sul Ross State, Ross netted the game-winner in the 28th minute.
    
Ross ranks among the ASC's top-10 in points (12) and goals (5). Ross has two assists and 11 shots on the year. Ross and the Eagles are currently in fifth place in the ASC.        

Ozarks (4-7-1, 3-4-0 ASC) will travel to Texas for matches against East Texas Baptist and LeTourneau University this week.
