Clarksville, Ark.-The University of the Ozarks men's soccer duo of Drew Mott and Juan Cano were named American Southwest Conference Players of the Week, the conference announced Monday.

Mott earned the offensive award, while Cano won the defensive award.

Mott, a native of Arlington, Texas, scored once and tallied four assists to lead the Eagles to a 2-0 road record. The sophomore forward posted the game-winning goal against Hendrix while also recording two assists in the 3-2 victory. Mott came back against Rhodes and recorded both assists in a 2-0 win. He created six shots, with three on goal, over two games. Mott leads the conference in points (15) and assists (5), and ranks second in goals (5).

Cano's stellar play in the Eagles' backline helped push the team to a pair of road wins during the week. Cano's defensive effort limited Rhodes to just three shots on goal, while the Eagles posted a 2-0 shutout. The junior defender from Santa Clara, Belize has started in five games for the Eagles.
