THE BASICS
Harding University spoiled the Eagles season opener with a narrow 2-1 victory Friday afternoon. The Bison scored just before halftime and then added another 14 minutes into the second half to hold a 2-0 advantage. The Eagles pressed forward and broke down the defense to score in the 69th minute. The goal came from Lorfils Milord on a pass from Drew Mott. The Eagles remained in attack mode the rest of the game but couldn't find the back of the net again. In all, the Eagles outshot the Bison 12-9 in the game. Mott finished with four shots and Kyle Seymour had three. The game counted as an exhibition match for Harding.
