THE BASICS
The Eagles captured the 2021 American Southwest Conference Championship after defeating Concordia University Texas 3-1 Saturday night in Abilene, Texas. Under Head Coach Aaron Brueckner, the Eagles finished the season 7-4-1 and won their first conference title since the 2003 season. The Eagles got a goal from Charleus Emmanuel Ritch in the 16th minute to put Ozarks in front 1-0. Concordia scored the equalizer in the 34th minute to end the half 1-1. But the Eagles were determined to win the title and it showed. The Eagles played outstanding in the second half, with Alain Claude netting a beautiful goal in the 57th minute. Lorfils Milord put the game out of reach with a goal in the 87th minute.

"I have to thank God first," said Brueckner. "The guys put in the work. The comradery and team unity are unbelievable. This championship is a result of the daily grind in practice and believing in the process. They believed in each other with great confidence. It was so fun to watch. They deserve this and I am just glad to be part of it."

"We had the most difficult road through the bracket," said Tournament MVP Drew Mott. "I am just proud of all the guys and so happy to come out on top."
