Ozarks Hosts First-Ever Swim Meet

Clarksville, Ark.-The University of the Ozarks women's and men's swim teams hosted its first-ever home meet Friday night at the Clarksville Aquatics Center.

The historic meet saw the Eagles compete against Hendrix College in a dual of the state's only NCAA Division III programs. Ozarks will host its second meet of the season January 28 at 11:00 a.m. against Henderson State University.

Hendrix would win both the women's and men's event against the first-year Eagles.

On the women's side, Kaitlyn Henrietta finished fourth in the 200-yard freestyle with a time of 2:18.96. Henrietta placed second in the 50-yard butterfly with a time of 33:23. In the 50-yard freestyle, Arielle Burfine placed fourth with a time of 28:74.

On the men's side, Jake Sawyer posted a time of 1:13.59 in the 100-yard breaststroke to finish third. Jesus Arrendondo placed fourth with a time of 1:18.41. In the 100-yard freestyle, Sawyer finished second with a time of 56:04. In the 50-yard breaststroke, Arrendondo placed third with a time of 37:14. In the 100-yard IM, Sawyer was second with a time of 1:03.22.
