Day One Of Hendrix College Relays Ends With Eagles In Second

Conway, Ark.-The University of the Ozarks women's and men's swim teams finished day one of the Hendrix College Relays Friday night.

The men's team is holding steady in second place behind Hendrix with a score of 296.

The meet consists of Ozarks, Hendrix, McMurry University, Williams Baptist College and Bethel University. The meet will continue Saturday beginning at 11:30 a.m.

The Eagles strongest performance came in the 400-yard free relay. Michael Walkine, Kim Gyeongju, Dylan Gehrels and Jacob Toland won the race with a time of 3:39.62.

Walkine, Gehrels and Austin Waters placed second in the 300-yard breast relay with a time of 3:28.53. Walkine, Gyeongju and Toland posted a third-place finish in the 300-yard fly relay with a time of 3:00.41. Gyeongju, Toland, Waters and Gehrels combined for a second-place finish in the 800-yard free relay with a time of 8:28.75.
