Eagles Finish Fourth At Hendrix College Swim Classic

The men's swim team finished fourth at the Hendrix Classic.

Conway, Ark. – The Eagles finished fourth at the Hendrix College Classic Saturday in Conway.

The Eagles scored 140 in the nine-team field. 

In the 1000 free, Jacob Jones placed fourth with a time of 10:31.94. Teammate Nicolas White swam a 11:01.81 for seventh place. In the 200 free, Gustavo Almaraz was 18th swimming a 2:14.18. Michael Vargas was 20th with a time of 2:17.57.
In the 50 free, Josh Collins was tenth swimming a 23.02 and Nicolai Van Zyl was 12th with a 23.12. In the 200 IM, Nicolas Dunsworth was 20th swimming a 2:19.27. Daniel Lopez swam a 2:37.82 for 23rd place and Bailey Butler was 24thwith a 2:45.11. In the 200 fly, Almaraz was 14th swimming a 2:32.48. In the 100 free, Collins posted a seventh place finish swimming a 50.78. Van Zyl was 12th with a time of 51.96. In the 200 back, Vargas placed 14th with a time of 2:35.80. Butler was 15th with a time of 2:39.96. In the 500 free, Jones placed sixth with a time of 5:02.60. White followed with a time of 5:25.80 for ninth place. In the 200 breast stroke, Dunsworth placed 19th with a time of 2:31.65. Lopez was 23rd with a time of 2:59.26. In the 400 free relay, the Eagles placed fourth with a time of 3:25.48 (Collins, Van Zyl, White, Jones).
