Eagles Compete In Arkansas Invite

The Eagles competed in the Arkansas Invite at Little Rock.

Little Rock, Ark. – The Eagles competed in the Arkansas Invite, which was made of Arkansas-only universities, Saturday hosted by Little Rock.

The Eagles finished fourth with 217 points. 

In the 200 medley relay, the Eagles placed seventh with a time of 1:49.47. The relay consisted of Ethan Spillers, Nicolai Van Zyl, Bertram Gibson and Isaiah Dial. In the 200 free, Joel Coppernoll placed 15th with a time of 1:57.10. In the 50 free, Nicolai Van Zyl placed 12th with a time of 23.83. Tyler Hamrick placed 15th with a time of 25.37. Isaiah Dial placed 17th with a time of 26.07. In the 100 fly, Tyler Hamrick placed 14th with a time of 1:04.31. Matthew Shelton placed 15th with a time of 1:04.47 and Gustavo Almaraz placed 16th with a time of 1:09.49. In the 100 free, Nicolai Van Zyl placed ninth with a time of  52.09. Joel Coppernoll placed 11th with a time of 54.10. Isaiah Dial placed 14th with a time of 55.83. In the 200 free relay, the Eagles had two teams. The team of Ethan Spillers, Joel Coppernoll, Matthew Shelton and Gustavo Almaraz placed sixth with a time of 1:42.20. The group of Isaiah Dial, Michael Vargas, Bertram Gibson and Tyler Young placed seventh with a time of 1:49.44. In the 100 back, Ethan Spillers placed eighth with a time of 58.57. Joel Coppernoll placed 11th with a time of 1:03.35. Tyler Hamrick placed 12th with a time of 1:04.31. In the 100 breaststroke, Nicolai Van Zyl placed sixth with a time of 1:04.39. Matthew Shelton placed 16th with a time of 1:17.02.
