Eagles Compete In Oklahoma Race

The Eagles topped Austin College for the third time this season.

Edmond, Okla. - The Eagles competed in the Sam Freas Invite Saturday in Edmond, Oklahoma.

The Eagles had two different combination of relay teams in the 200 medley relay. The Eagles' top team placed 12th overall swimming a 1:48.62. The next team swam a 2:04.28 for 16th place. In the 200 free, Wiley Grantham swam a 2:11.53 for 18th place. Nicolas White swam a 2:12.30 for 19th place. In the 100 back, Michael Vargas swam a 1:06.54 for 16th place. In the 100 breaststroke, Nicolai Van Zyl swam a 1:05.15 for eighth place. In the 200 fly, Ethan Spillers swam a 2:10.11 for ninth place. Isaiah Dial swam a 2:28.00 for 12th place. In the 200 back, Spillers swam a 2:12.89 for eighth place. Tyler Hamrick swam a 2:19.43 for tenth place, Dial swam a 2:31.39 for 11th place, White swam a 2:33.75 for 13th place and Tyler Young swam a 2:42.27 for 14th place. In the 200 breaststroke, Van Zyl swam a 2:28.33 for fifth place. In the 500 free, Grantham swam a 5:54.12 for sixth place. In the 100 fly, Hamrick swam a 1:02.62 for 16th place. Vargas swam a 1:12.61 for 18th place. In the 100 IM, Young swam a 1:10.44 for 11th place. The Eagles had two teams compete in the 200 free relay, with the first team placing 13th with a time of 1:36.85. The second team placed 17th with a time of 1:50.76.
