Men's Swim and Dive Team Drops McMurry Dual

The Eagles dropped a dual against McMurry University.

Abilene, Texas - The men's swim and dive team traveled to Abilene, Texas for the McMurry University Dual and came up short.

In the 400 medley relay, the Eagles finished second (3:54.99) and fifth (4:43.56).  In the 500 free, Isaiah Dial placed third with a time of 5:38.98 and Wiley Grantham placed fourth with a 5:39.40. In the 200 breaststroke, Nicolai Van Zyl placed second with a time of 2:24.76 and Nicolas White placed fourth with a time of 2:56.45. Ethan Spillers won the 200 back with a time of 2:09.81. Grantham placed fifth with a time of 2:33.64 and Michael Vargas was sixth with a time of 2:36.07. In the 100 free, Van Zyl was second with a time of 52.48. Tyler Hamrick was fifth with a time of 55.34 and Tyler Young was sixth with a time of 1:03.64. In the 200 fly, Dial was third with a time of 2:22.91 and White was fourth with a time of 2:30.44. In the 200 IM, Spillers was second with a time of 2:09.20. Hamrick was fifth with a time of 2:!8.87 and Young was sixth with a time of 2:43.27. The Eagles were third (1:38.49) and fifth (1:53.24) in the 200 free relay. Vargas won the one-meter diving competition with a score of 102.85. In the 200 medley relay, the Eagles were second (1:47.38) and fourth (2:07.22). In the 400 IM, Hamrick was second (5:08.66) and White was fourth (5:12.26). Spillers won the 200 free with a time of 1:55.43. Dial placed fifth (2:04.40) and Grantham placed sixth (2:08.32). In the 50 free, Van Zyl was second with a 23.54 and Young was fifth with a 28.18. Spillers won the 100 fly swimming a 56.18. Dial placed fourth (1:01.57). In the 100 back, Hamrick was second with a time of 1:00.60 and Vargas was sixth with a time of 1:07.11. In the 100 breaststroke, Van Zyl placed second with a time of 1:05.55 and Young was fifth with a time of 1:25.38. In the 1000 free, Grantham was third with a 11:30.90 and White was sixth with a time of 12:04.95. Vargas won the three-meter diving competition with a score of 121.68. The Eagles finished third in the 400 free relay (3:34.60) and fifth (4:11.76).
