Men's Swim And Dive Team Competes In Mississippi

The Eagles placed fourth in the Rhodes College Winter Invite.

Clarksville, Ark.- The men's swim and dive team competed in the Rhodes College Winter Invite/Delta State University Thanksgiving Invite over the weekend in Cleveland, Mississippi.

RECAP
The Eagles finished in fourth place. The Eagles had two teams in the 200 free relay. One team finished seventh (1:32.26) and the other team finished tenth (1:45.29). In the 500 free, Ethan Spillers placed seventh with a time of 4:57.65. Wiley Grantham placed 14th with a time of 5:15.34. Tyler Hamrick placed 16th with a time of 5:19.15, Nicolas White placed 17th with a time of 5:!8.91 and Isaiah Dial placed 18th with a time of 5:22.15. In the 200 IM, Tyler Young placed 14th with a time of 2:27.68. In the 50 free, Nicolai Van Zyl placed 12th with a time of 22.51. Michael Vargas placed 20th with a time of 26.32. In the 400 medley relay, the Eagles had two teams. One team placed sixth with a time of 3:44.89 and the other finished ninth with a time of 4:23.15. In the 100 fly, Spillers placed eighth with a time of 52.26. Hamrick placed 17th with a time of 57.74. Dial placed 19thwith a time of 58.62. In the 400 IM, White placed seventh with a time of 4:46.60. In the 200 free, Grantham placed 14th with a time of 2:00.33. In the 100 breaststroke, Van Zyl placed fifth with a time of 59.81. In the 100 back, Hamrick placed sixth with a time of 57.54. White placed 12th with a time of 1:04.28, Grantham placed 13th with a time of 1:04.78, Vargas placed 14th with a time of 1:06.23 and Young placed 15th with a time of 1:09.19. In the 200 medley relay, the Eagles finished fourth (1:40.25) and 12th (1:58.53). In the 1650 free, Grantham placed eighth with a time of 18:12.64. White placed ninth with a time of 19:01.06. In the 200 back, Spillers placed fifth with a time of 1:58.37. Hamrick placed ninth with a time of 2:04.48. Young placed 13th with a time of 2:32.08. In the 100 free, Dial placed 18th with a time of 52.47. In the 200 breaststroke, Van Zyl placed fourth with a time of 2:14.26. In the 200 fly, Spillers placed third with a time of 1:58.58. Dial placed 13th with a time of 2:17.56. In the one-meter diving competition, Vargas placed sixth with a score of 261.05. In the 400 free relay, the Eagles placed fifth (3:24.37) and 12th (3:52.95).
