Eagles Place Second At Austin College Invitational

The Eagles placed second at the Austin College Invitational.

Sherman, Texas- The men's swim and dive team placed second at the Austin College Invitational Saturday in Texas.

The Eagles scored 394 points, while winner UT Permian Basin had 628 points.

The Eagles placed third in the 200 medley relay with a time of 1:46.48. Daniel Del Moral Diaz placed second with a time of 19:33.81 in the 1650 free. Wiley Grantham was third with a time of 19:48.25. In the 100 back, Tyler Hamrick placed eighth with a time of 1:01.44 and Nicolas White was ninth with a time of 1:07.08. In the 100 breaststroke, Nicolai Van Zyl placed third with a time of 1:05.08. In the 200 fly, Ethan Spillers placed third with a time of 2:10.18 and Isaiah Dial placed seventh with a time of 2:25.49. In the 50 free, Van Zyl was third with a time of 23.21. Hamrick was ninth with a time of 25.76. Tyler Young was tenth with a time of 27.30. Michael Vargas won the one-meter diving competition with a score of 125.80. In the 100 free, Dial placed 13th with a time of 55.64. Young was 17th with a time of 1:02.63. In the 200 back, Hamrick was third with a time of 2:15.89. Del Moral Diaz was fourth with a time of 2:24.53 and White was sixth with a time of 2:30.01. In the 200 breaststroke, Van Zyl was second with a time of 2:25.02. In the 500 free, Grantham was third with a time of 5:12.05. Del Moral Diaz was sixth with a time of 5:38.27. In the 100 free, Spillers was fifth with a time of 56.52 and Dial was 13th with a time of 1:01.67. Vargas won the three-meter competition with a score of 113.20. In the 200 IM, Spillers was fourth with a time of 2:10.22. White was tenth with a time of 2:27.06. Young was 12th with a time of 2:37.74. In the 200 free relay, the Eagles placed seventh with a time of 1:48.81.
