Men's Swim Team Completes Day One At DSU Thanksgiving Invite

Cleveland, Miss. - The men's swim team completed day one of the Delta State University Thanksgiving Invite Friday in Cleveland, Mississippi.

The morning session included the prelims while the evening session featured the finals. 

In the 500 free prelims, Nathan Jennings posted a time of 5:12.82 for 16th place. In the 200 IM prelims, Ethan Spillers swam a 2:04.90 for ninth place. In the 50 free prelims, Isaiah Dial finished 21st with a time of 24.44. Tyler Hamrick posted a time of 25.99 for 27th place and Tyler Young posted a time of 26.84 for 28th place. In the 'A' final of the 200 free relay, the Eagles had a time of 1:36.61 for fifth place. In the finals of the 500 free, Wiley Grantham had a time of 5:08.35 for 14th place and Jennings had a time of 5:14.61 for 16th place. In the finals of the 200 IM, Spillers swam a 2:05.35 for eighth place. In the finals of the 50 free, Dial had a time of 24.39 for 22nd place. In the 'A' final of the 400 IM relay, the Eagles placed fifth with a time of 4:00.68. In the time trial of the 200 breaststroke, Spillers swam a 2:15.24. In the time trial of the 800 free relay, the Eagles posted a time of 8:05.71.

The Eagles will continue to compete at the Delta State Thanksgiving Invite Saturday and Sunday.
